Douglas C47 Dakota
The C47 was a highly successful multi-purpose American transport aircraft.
It is still in common use today.
The C47 (ZA947) featured here is
one of the aircraft preserved as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
The following photographs of C47 ZA947 were taken on 18 July 1999
during the Festival of Flight 1999 held at the
National Museums of Scotland, Museum of Flight,
East Fortune Airfield, East Lothian, Scotland over the weekend of 17 and 18 July 1999.
